Jersey Doodles specializes in solid color F1 and F1b Standard size Goldendoodles as well as Standard size F1 North American Retriever Doodles, which are half Labradoodle and half Goldendoodle. Julius, our new red stud muffin, pictured to right, is a beautiful example.

The Doodle is an exciting hybrid (crossbreed or for those who don't care to mince words, a loveable MUTT!) that is strong, athletic, intelligent, highly trainable, affectionate, with an even temperament, and is driven by an overriding desire to please, but like any dog, they do need to be trained so you will have a wonderful companion for years.

Media coverage has made the  Labradoodle and Goldendoodle
 something of a star in the last few years. For example, the cover story of the 10/8/2004 LIFE magazine asked if the Doodle is "The Perfect Dog?", and on 9/29/2004 CBS broadcast a video about Doodles in the "Early Show" with Harry Smith featuring photos from Jersey Doodle! As responsible Doodle breeders, we are careful to ensure that our dogs are healthy and free from inherited diseases prior to breeding. We take extra measures to ensure and promote the health of our dogs by testing all of our breeding dogs' hips, via either OFA or PennHIP, and eye disorders via CERF exam. We also selectively screen for SA, vWD, Addisons, Thyroid, and Epilepsy. All our puppies have their health carefully monitored, are given preventative deworming, coccidia and giardia treatments, and are current on all their vaccinations when they go home with you.

ALL  pups go home already microchipped. This remarkable computer chip has a unique identification number programmed into it. The device is small enough to fit inside a hypodermic needle and is simply injected under the skin where it will stay for the life of the animal. This provides a permanent, positive identification which cannot be lost, altered, or intentionally removed. If your dog is ever lost and found, the first thing any vet or shelter will do is scan the neck area for a microchip, and with the code they can easily locate the owner.

Allergies: It is impossible to test your allergy response with our puppies or breeding dogs because dander is present everywhere. We do suggest that you meet as many Doodles as you can and we can direct you to Doodle Romps or prior owners who would just love to show off their dogs. Doodles are considered allergy friendly, not hypoallergenic.
